Liberal Reform Association Privacy Policy
Go Local Services Ltd, ABN 24675066336 which trades as Liberal Reform Association (“LRA”) and/or the LNP Reform Association and its primary service provider, Local Action Services Pty Ltd, ABN 43674542002 using systems owned by Process PA, ABN 45608099832 under licence, are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) [the “Privacy Act”] the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the relevant provisions of other applicable legislation.
Personal Information and our Primary Purpose
Our primary purpose is to reform the constitutions of the nine entities, (one Federal Division, six State Divisions and two Territory Divisions) of what is known as the Liberal Party of Australia [the “Party”] so that the Party members not only have both ownership and carriage of the Party but are involved on a one vote one value basis in the election or appointment of all of the local government, state and federal candidates/representatives and also the party parliamentary and local government representative leaders at all levels of government. Further to that the members will also elect all of the Party unit officers from the Party organisational state and federal presidents and their executives to the local branch executives.
To this end, the LRA is setting up a parallel member/subscriber communication system similar to what we believe members of a mainstream high-membership political party need to operate efficiently.
This means that the members need not just to receive communications from the LRA, but, more importantly, to be able to communicate with each other in a sensibly structured way at different levels, including through social media.
To the end, LRA will progressively set up internal structures in each state and territory, and then specifically in federal electorates, state electorates, and if need be, local government areas.
The reforms proposed will also be available to various entities of the National Party of Australia, should they want to use them.
The Liberal Reform Association is not an arm or in any way affiliated with the Liberal Parties of Australia or any of the divisions of National Parties of Australia or indeed of the CLP.
There are two broad groups of LRA members.
If you want to quietly and anonymously support our cause, you can donate to us, receive our newsletters, read our posts and other information, and participate in our surveys.
This will often involve you disclosing demographic information such as your local government ward or State or Federal electorate, your age, and employment status, which will be kept secure and confidential. The information collected will only be included in the published results of our organisation's surveys, in a generic fashion. You will not be identifiable.
The second group are those who want to participate more fully in the reform process.
Although we are not a political party, to be able to reform the various Liberal Parties, we need to set up a mirror of many aspects of what we are proposing to test and perfect the mechanisms to make the Liberal Parties successful, high-membership mainstream political parties.
To be an effective political organisation the members of any given electorate, be they local, state, or federal, need to communicate with each other to explore and discern the commonalities of viewpoints. In order for the political representatives to effectively represent the members views they need to have practical means of determining what those views indeed are. That should be one of the primary purposes of any Party organisation.
Membership of any organisation with goals of open and honest dealings, the removal of all corruption, support of our local, state, and federal institutions, the State and Commonwealth Constitutions, the rule of law, and the primacy of the unique Australian culture should be a matter of pride.
It was not that long ago that you had to get special permission to have an unlisted phone number, name, and address. Although governments are the greatest abusers of it, they are obsessed with your privacy. We simply undertake to respect your privacy in a commonsense way.
If you give us specific permission, your name, email, phone, and your electoral roll address will be made available to other members in your local area and electorates so you can communicate with each other.
The LRA will not abuse your confidence or use your information for any purpose other than the objects of this association and its associated entities, and in particular, the reform of the Liberal / LNP/ CLP constitutions. We won’t disclose your personal information unless
- LRA is required to, or is authorised to by a court, tribunal or by law or
